July 2011 - Summer Fundraiser
On 10th July THE PADUA CHARITABLE FUND along with the Nottingham
Philippine Youth Association held their first annual Summer Fair
at St Theresa Church Hall in the legendary Robin Hood city of
Nottingham, UK.
The well-attended weather-blessed event included a variety of
fun-filled fabulous stalls and activities: delectable Philippine
dishes and desserts, designer clothes and accessories, jewelry,
bric-a-bracs, kiddies corner with games and face painting, tea,
coffee, cakes, raffle and even a chocolate fountain!
The fundraiser was extremely successful and raised over £700.
Proceeds will go towards the construction of a watertank for a
school of disadvantaged children in the Eldorado slum site, Paranaque,
Philippines, and supporting the talented, dynamic group of Filipino
youngsters in Nottingham.
Thank you to all who helped out and special thanks to the Nottingham
Philippine Youth Association for joining forces for the day.
